The Ozark Mountain High Road   Ozarks Ride Description
Start at L&J Plumbing Supply parking lot. They are sponsors of the Branson Bicycle Club, and allow us to park there for our rides. Take a right out of the lot and around the circle to the outer road (Sunrise Dr). Take a left. Go until you hit the highroad. (It's a four-lane split highway with wide shoulders) Watch for traffic as you cross the highway to go left onto Hwy 465. Follow the Ozark Mountain Highroad and enjoy the scenery! When you get about 8 miles out you will see an exit for Hwy 76. We usually turn around (left) under the bridge onto the other side of the highroad (closed to traffic). Peddle up to the barricades, and wait for everyone to catch up and stretch their legs. When everyone is ready, follow this side of the highroad for a different scenic 8 miles. Just before you get to Hwy 65, turn right onto the outer road (Sunrise Dr). Then turn right into the business circle up to L&J Plumbing Supply where you parked your car. It's a gorgeous 16 miles that you'll want to ride again and again!! Welcome to Branson, MO!!

If you are looking for a longer Saturday ride you might contact Dathan Atchison at datchison@welkgroup.com If his group isn't racing they typically look to do 40-100 miles on a Saturday.

On Thursday's there is a group that meets at the Keeter Center, College of the Ozarks (about 5:30-6pm). They ride approximately 25 miles. (You get to climb the airport road) It's a great climbing workout and does include a little heavy traffic. If you have any questions about this ride contact Dathan at datchison@welkgroup.com
